The Cretaceous

Fossils of this age can be found across the country, but pterosaurs have been found mainly in the Cambridge Greensand and the Wealden deposits.  There are also pterosaur remains from the upper Chalk.  Most of the Cretaceous evidence within the UK is fragmentary, often being single bones of parts of joints or skull.

Museums with significant Cretaceous pterosaur remains.

The Natural History Museum, London; The Sedgwick Museum, Cambridge; The University Museum, Oxford; The Yorkshire Museum, York; The Booth Museum, Brighton; Dinosaur Isle, Isle of Wight and the Hunterian Museum, Edinburgh all have collections of Cretaceous pterosaur material.
